MRED Extends Winning Streak With Rollout of MLS Data Co-op™
Chicagoland MLS Giant Continues to Reinvent MLS
LISLE, IL–(Marketwire – Oct 25, 2012) – Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED), Chicagoland’s multiple listing service (MLS), has announced that the MLS Data Co-op™, from CoreLogic, the provider of the Realist™ public records platform, has gone live with what will eventually become a major listing content cooperative.
Providing MRED customers with a wealth of information with which to enhance their already powerful real estate database, the MLS Data Co-op™ presents users all the information they need on a single screen with access to all MLS listings through a sophisticated map-centric interface. The Co-op delivers valuable property data and reports such as RealAVM™ valuations, tax records, listing history, nearby schools, neighborhood data, community demographics, real estate trends, foreclosure information and more. MLS Data Co-op™ works with all popular browsers and platforms, and uses a common format for listings across MLSs without sacrificing locally unique data values.
While initially only for use with MRED’s own listing content, MRED plans to open up reciprocal access with well over 100 other MLSs which have already joined the Co-op. This will quickly lead to MRED’s real estate professionals having access to listings from across the country and Canada, not only giving them the ability to widely market their listings, but opening a doorway for them to expand their referral networks.
The MLS Data Co-op™ is not a public-facing web site, but is reserved for use by real estate professionals, thus providing access to more detailed listing content and far more data than available on the consumer oriented websites.
“MRED agents are expected to have the most complete information and very best technology at their fingertips,” said MRED’s Chief Executive Officer, Russ Bergeron. “The MLS Data Co-op provides terrific search and reporting functionality and will give brokers the ability to market their properties throughout North America. This fits perfectly with our continuing mission to provide our customers with the best and most cutting-edge products and services in the industry.”

There is No Debating the Value of the new Midwest Homes™
LISLE, ILLINOIS (October 18, 2011) – Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) (www.mredllc.com), the Chicagoland multiple listing service (MLS), has announced the introduction of an agent-branded IDX listing search as part of its Midwest Homes™ app suite. This mobile app puts the agent’s brand in front of their customers, turning every home listed into a virtual flyer promoting that agent and generating real-time leads.
Earlier this year, MRED premiered Midwest Homes™ to give their real estate professionals an MLS home searching app. Midwest Homes™ was developed in partnership with iKenex, the mobile division of DoApp, a top five mobile developer. Featuring interactive map searching and geo-location technology, Midwest Homes™ makes it easy to find nearby for-sale listings. While doing business on the go, MRED practitioners can log in to obtain a rich set of data for all of the homes listed for sale in their MLS. Midwest Homes™ can be downloaded for free at the app stores and is fully functional on iPhones, Androids, and iPads.
With the introduction of the Agent Branded MLS Search App, MRED customers can now personalize the Midwest Homes™ app, directing their clients to their preferred app store for a free download that is personalized to their agent. With consumers gravitating to the mobile world at an ever-increasing rate, Midwest Homes™ offers agents the ability to deliver a cutting-edge mobile MLS consumer search while reinforcing their relationship with their clients. This functionality is available for only a $30 set up charge and $5.99 per month for unlimited downloads.
“MRED is known for their leadership in world-class technologies that make agents and brokers more productive and successful,” said Dave Borrillo, Chief Technology Officer of DoApp. “Because we share those goals, we look forward to continuing our partnership with them to provide mobile apps that not only increase productivity, but also help agents better serve their clients. We are really excited about some brand new capabilities specifically geared for the unique needs of MRED.”
“We are totally committed to mobile and providing our customers with the tools they need to succeed on all of the major mobile platforms existing today,” said MRED CEO Russ Bergeron. “Midwest Homes™ provides a top of the line mobile MLS search for our real estate professionals while giving them the ability to deliver branded search capabilities to their clients. This is a win for everybody, especially the consumer.”
