MRED welcomes new realtor association, expands service area

Posted by on MRED is thrilled to welcome the Bloomington-Normal Association of Realtors® (BNAR) as our newest Association partner. The addition of BNAR is part of MRED’s pursuit of improving offerings and expanding reach to provide brokers with the very best in functionality and service.
Bloomington-Normal becomes the fourteenth realtor association to join MRED and benefit from our game-changing line of products and services. That includes the best-in-class multiple listing service connectMLS containing more than 85,000 active listings.
BNAR’s transition process to connectMLS is already underway and going smoothly. There will be no disruptions to the services MRED provides to current associations and their members.
Bloomington-Normal supplies resources to real estate professionals in central Illinois’ McLean County, the largest county in the state by land area. Founded in 1921, BNAR covers the county’s 170,000 residents in 65,000 households across 70,000 housing units. Bloomington-Normal President John Armstrong, Association Executive Diane Cote, and their wonderful team will continue to serve their members well as an MRED Association partner.

LISLE, ILLINOIS (June 14, 2016) – Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED), Chicagoland’s multiple listing service (MLS), announced that Art Carter, Chief Executive Officer of the California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS), has been elected to MRED’s Board as its new Strategic Manager.
MRED created the position of Strategic Manager, to be filled by up to two individuals at the discretion of and election by MRED’s Board members. Strategic Managers are invited onto the Board because of their expertise and participate on an advisory basis. Their input is invited to enhance the ability of MRED’s leadership to make the best decisions and serve their real estate professionals in the most effective manner.
As CEO, Mr. Carter oversees the strategic direction of CRMLS. With more than 80,000 agents, it is the MLS serving the largest number of real estate professionals in the country, encompassing thirty-six (36) REALTOR® associations across California. Mr. Carter has been CEO of CRMLS since 2005, and under his leadership it has successfully merged with three other MLSs, obtaining over 40,000 new members. Mr. Carter is one of Inman News’ 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders and one of the Top 20 Association/MLS Executives in the Swanepoel Power 200. In 2012, he was inducted into the Dr. Almon R. (Bud) Smith, RCE, AE Leadership Society in recognition of this dedicated service and commitment to advancing the REALTOR® organization and the Association Management profession. A Past President of the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS), he is currently serving as the Chair of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO).

Continuing to serve as MRED’s Strategic Manager is David Charron, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS). The newly elected Board members are John Murray of Key Realty and Thomas Poulos of Gagliardo Realty Associates.
MRED’s Board of Managers annually nominates and elects officers to guide the company through the upcoming year. This year’s officers have performed their duties at such a high level and work so well together that the Board of Managers has reelected all to the same positions they held in 2015.

MRED Announces Hiring of New President/Chief Executive Officer

Posted by on LISLE, ILLINOIS (January 9, 2015) – Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED), Chicagoland’s multiple listing service (MLS), has announced it has hired Rebecca Jensen to be the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MRED.
Rebecca has worked in the MLS industry since 1998, and has been the CEO of the UtahRealEstate.com MLS since 2007. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, and has earned an MBA in Technology Commercialization from Westminster College. She sits on the Executive Committee of the COVE MLS Group and also serves on the MLS Policy Committee of the National Association of REALTORS®.
Since becoming CEO of UtahRealEstate.com MLS, she led the effort to develop and successfully deploy a new in-house MLS platform, including mobile website and apps, as well as a public portal. In 2012 she launched PropertyPond.com, which is a website for rental properties. Rebecca was elected to the Board of The Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) in the fall of 2010, where she has served as Board Chair continuously since January 2011. Her initial focus for the organization was to create and implement a sustainable long-term strategic plan, which included restructuring the entity, and gaining more support from the MLS industry. This allowed RESO to create standards including the Data Dictionary and Web API, which are now being adopted by MLSs across the nation.
Rebecca is one of the Inman News 100 Most Influential People in Real Estate, Swanepoel 200 Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate as well as being a Utah Business Magazine Forty Under 40 Honoree.
MRED will announce Ms. Jensen’s official start date when it becomes available.

LISLE, ILLINOIS (November 20, 2014) – Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED), Chicagoland’s multiple listing service (MLS), has announced that it has renewed agreements with all twelve (12) of the local Realtor® associations to whom it provides services. Under the new Contract for Services Association agreements (CSAs), MRED will continue to provide MLS and other related products and services to the members of these organizations through at least December, 2017, with options to extend the agreements through December, 2021.

LISLE, ILLINOIS (January 22, 2014) – Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED), Chicagoland’s multiple listing service (MLS), announced that MRED listing content is now appearing in Realtors Property Resource® (RPR).
RPR is a parcel-centric national database of property information owned by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). RPR is not a multiple listing service (MLS) and does not support offers of cooperation and compensation. RPR was created by NAR to provide Realtors® with additional data they might need to meet the demands of their clients. RPR is 100% owned by Realtors® and is only accessible by Realtors®. RPR is working with MLSs to populate their database with property information from all over the United States.
